Windows Server 2008 is the name of the next operating system for servants of Microsoft. He is the successor of Windows Server 2003. It was known with the code name “Windows Longhorn Server” until the 15 May of 2007, when Bill Gates announced his official name in the WinHEC conference.
Windows Server 2008 is an operating system for servants with characteristic similars to Vista Windows. This relation is equivalent to given previously between Windows XP and the Windows Server 2003.

The Enterprise edition for processors based on Itanium also will be available. Additionally, Microsoft mentioned that “Cougar” is the name in code of Windows Small Business Server, and “Center” is the name in code of Server Windows for medium companies, oriented to companies from 25 to 500 PCs, in which Exchange like part of the product is gotten up.
